On Thursday 11 August Conor met Lilli Donlon-Mansbridge and Lowri Bradley, Member and Deputy Member of Youth Parliament for Poole respectively.
The UK Youth Parliament was founded in 1998 after a campaign by Conservative MP Andrew Rowe to provide a forum for British young people to debate mayor issues of the day with direct relevance to the younger generation. UKYP meets at least 3 times a year locally and now holds its Annual Meeting in the House of Commons Chamber itself.
Conor was impressed by both of Poole’s UKYP members and noted the passionate way they articulated their cause and current campaigns.
