Ensuring effective, visible policing

Conor is committed to ensuring that our communities in Bournemouth are safe and secure environments for all. One crucial aspect of this is addressing crime and antisocial behaviour with the urgency and attention it demands.

Since 2019, we have seen an increase in police numbers in Dorset, with 174 new officers joining the force. This is a positive step towards enhancing public safety, but it is crucial that we see tangible results from this investment. Conor believes in the importance of visible policing on our streets, serving as a deterrent to antisocial behaviour and criminal activity.

Conor wants to see a zero-tolerance approach towards antisocial behaviour, aggressive begging, and drug dealing. These issues not only disrupt the peace in our neighbourhoods but also impact the quality of life for residents and businesses alike. We cannot afford to turn a blind eye to these challenges any longer.

Enough with the excuses, promises, and explanations of difficulties. What we need now is decisive action. It's time for the police and the Council to prioritise the safety and well-being of our community, and Conor will continue to push for measures that deliver real results.

Together, let's work towards creating safer streets, stronger communities, and brighter futures for the next generation. Your support and engagement are vital as we strive to build a better Bournemouth for all.
