Conor was the speaker at the BFX dinner held at Bournemouth's West Beach with industry leaders present including Michael Kaschalk who is head of effects at Wlat Disney Animation Studios and representatives from other major players in the industry such as Pixar, Dreamworks and Industrial Light and Magic.
The BFX Festival celebrates and promotes the animation, visual effects and computer games industry and hopes to inspire the next wave of talent and share the latest knowledge. With Bournemouth having the fastest growing digital economy mainly as a result of the town's two Universities and being such a great place to live, the Festival enables students and graduates to compete in a competition to produce a short animation or VFX (visual effects) sequence, take part in a two day academic conference with industry leaders, attend presentations and demonstrations workshops and a jobs fair where leaders in the industry are keen to snap up talent and workshops where festival attendees can be tutored by the best in the industry.
Conor is working hard to attract more of the major players to come and base themselves here in Bournemouth where much of the international talent is grown and nurtured.
