Peter Bywater from Dorset Energy Advice Centre has been named as one of the nations’ Heat Heroes, after his work to tackle fuel poverty in Bournemouth has received special recognition.
Coinciding with Fuel Poverty Awareness day which took place on Friday 10th February 2012, the Heat Heroes Award Scheme, organised by fuel poverty charity NEA and ScottishPower, aims to recognise individuals who go ‘above and beyond’ what would be expected in the course of their work to help those people who are suffering from the effects of fuel poverty and struggling to heat their homes.
