On 13 March 2014 Conor Burns, MP for Bournemouth West, visited Glenmoor School to speak with level 1 students enrolled in the Jon Egging Trust’s Blue Skies Programme.

Last Friday, 21 February 2014, Bournemouth West MP Conor Burns showed his continued support for the National Citizen Service by meeting with 27 of the programme’s participants. Conor spoke to those attending on the importance and value of civic engagement and volunteering within the community.

On Friday 21 February Conor Burns, MP for Bournemouth West, joined volunteers from Bournemouth North Rotary Club as they collected donations for Bournemouth Food Bank.

From a stall inside Sainsbury’s Talbot Heath, Conor helped to collect donations from shoppers, package boxes and load them into vehicles in the car park.

The food drive took place over two days and collected 2.4 tons of food from local people, making massive strides towards the year’s target of 3.5 tons.

Conor Burns is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Bournemouth West, Branksome East and Alderney. He lives in Westbourne in Bournemouth West. He has pledged to be a community-focused MP who works as a voice in Westminster for his constituents, putting them before anything else.

Conor's constituency is a new one, including Bournemouth West, parts of Branksome, the Bourne Valley and Alderney in Poole. The area is diverse, with urban and rural neighbourhoods and a population of young families, key workers, students and pensioners.
